Many consider it to be sacred ground, as the spiritual home of World Wrestling Entertainment, and now we’re going to look at the DVD set dedicated to one of the greatest venues not just in professional wrestling, but in the world. The release in question is The Best of WWE at Madison Square Garden. And as is the custom with these things, let’s start right at the beginning with….. No stalling today. Just a few topics and some reader feedback. Raw Rating Let me be clear: On Monday night, WWE Raw was the number one show on cable. Most watched and all that fun stuff. Top of the top! Cause for celebration, right? Not so fast. Obviously, this is excellent news for the company trying to secure a huge television deal. However, the rating/viewership could have been soooooooooooooo much higher. You know how WWE spent a month hyping up Batista’s big return earlier this year? WHERE WAS THAT? Seriously.Read More
Everybody getting excited for the WWE Network? I know I am. After years and years of doubting this entire project would start up, it is almost here. Right or wrong, the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view has become secondary in importance. The night AFTER is going to be beyond epic. Taking place from Green Bay, Wisconsin (I am from WI) only adds to the excitement. With that little introduction out of the way, how about we tackle a few topics for today? WWE Smackdown Ratings Continue Rising A lot of folks alwaysRead More

FATP: Look In The Mirror

After sitting watching Raw earlier today, I just had to sit down and write about something. It’s not anything ground-breaking. In fact, it’s familiar territory to me and long-term readers will probably know what the topic is. For anyone who missed Raw, or who hasn’t seen it yet, let me fill you in on something. Last night on Raw, Vickie Guerrero announced that a former WWE and World Champion would be making his return at WWE’s next PPV (which is 2 weeks on Sunday), Hell in a Cell. Is itRead More

Death of Wrestling: Smackdown

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. The saturation of anything is never a good thing… We all love the World Cup, but if it was every year instead of every four years, it wouldn’t be long before it lost its shine.Read More

The Cahoon Run Down: Thoughts on Big E. Langston

What’s up everybody? I’m Geddy Cahoon. You might remember me from such films as Christmas Ape andChristmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp. Today, I wanna talk about volatility in wrestling and Dolph Ziggler’s ex-bodyguard, Big E. Langston. Volatility is perhaps the only constant of pro wrestling and pro wrestling fandom. Things can and will change at ANY given moment. Champions, gimmicks, and even opinions. I’m a very strongly opinionated guy, which means that while I voice a lot of my opinions very loudly and strongly and sometimes angrily, I’m just as quick to changeRead More

Hey everybody, Geddy Cahoon here with the first edition of The Cahoon Run Down in over 3 MONTHS. I don’t really have any kind of explanation for my absence – Let’s just say school and my personal life overwhelmed my desire to write. But you’re not here for excuses – You’re here to hear me get all verbose and ranty about the world of professional wrestling. Today, there’s one man I want to talk about in the wrestling world. No, it’s not the love of my life Damien Sandow, norRead More
